NEVER let anyone else use your computer network password at all - ever - for any reason at all !
NEVER let anyone else use your computer when it is logged on to the network in your name !
Why? - because that's a requirement of the college which you must follow.
Why is it a requirement? - because it is against the law to download from pirate software sites like 'bit-torrent. Also, your computer can get infected.
What happens if you do download illegal stuff or get infected? - your computer access will be blocked, you will see the 'Dead End Network' page.
What happens next? - your computer account will be cancelled.
You could fail your modules because of this.
Three students are already in trouble because they lent out or borrowed passwords.
Welcome to 'The Puff' - a small scale version of 'Cloud computing' just for this college.
As things stand, so far only UFP and MFP students each have their own login details - and will see a menu based on their course after they have logged in. If other people (students and staff) like this system, it is hoped it will expand.
Please, come up with a better name than 'The Puff' for this site. Post your suggestions, and everyone can vote on them. Peter's decision will be final. Voting is now open, new suggestions will be added as soon as they are noticed.
